Tuf Crate LLC (“TUFCRATE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through https://tufcrate.com (the “Site”) and our related sales, customer service, and text-messaging communications, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits the Site (“Visitors”) and everyone who buys from us, requests a quote, or otherwise does business with us (“Customers”).
By using the Site or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or provide your information to us.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you request a quote, place an order, create an account, contact us, or sign up for text or email updates, we may collect: name, company name, email address, phone number (including mobile number, if you opt in to SMS), billing and shipping address, order and transaction details (products, quantities, specifications, payment status), and any other information you choose to include in a message to us.
We do not collect Social Security numbers or full payment card numbers — payment card data is entered directly with our payment processor and does not pass through or get stored on our systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we (and our hosting, analytics, and security providers) automatically collect your IP address, approximate location, browser type and version, operating system, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, date and time of visit, and cookie and similar tracking data (see the Cookies section below).
Information from text messaging. If you opt in to receive SMS/text messages from us (see the Text Messaging section below), we collect your mobile phone number and the fact and timing of your consent, along with any information you send us by text.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to: provide quotes, process and fulfill orders, and manage your account; communicate with you about orders, invoices, scheduling, and customer service; respond to inquiries and provide requested information; send you requested updates, promotions, or service notices by email or text (only where you have consented, and always with an opt-out); maintain, secure, and improve the Site; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing purposes.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers who work on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us. This includes: our bank and payment processor, to process payments; our accounting/CPA firm, for bookkeeping and tax purposes; our website hosting, IT, and email provider — currently Google Workspace/Gmail (see below); our shipping and freight carriers, to deliver orders; our SMS/text messaging platform provider (currently Zoom), solely to transmit the text messages you’ve opted in to receive; and other vendors who support our operations (e.g., website analytics, IT security), where applicable.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TUFCRATE, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — if TUFCRATE is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy of which you’ll be notified.
- With your direction — if you ask us to share information with a third party (for example, a freight broker you designate).
We do not have data-sharing “affiliate” or marketing-partner relationships beyond the service providers listed above.
A note on Gmail / Google Workspace
Because we use Google Workspace for business email, some of your information (such as your name, email address, and the content of emails you send us) is processed and stored on Google’s infrastructure. Google acts as our data processor under our Google Workspace agreement, which contractually restricts Google from using that data to serve ads or for any purpose other than providing the Workspace service to us. This is different from free, consumer Gmail accounts. You can review Google’s Workspace-specific terms at workspace.google.com/terms if you’d like more detail.
Text Messaging (SMS) Program
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing purposes. This applies fully to any phone number or consent information collected through text messaging — see the dedicated statement below.
TUFCRATE offers customer support by text message. This program is customer-initiated: you opt in by texting our business number first (for example, to ask about pricing, availability, or a delivery). We do not collect SMS opt-in through a website form, checkout checkbox, or keyword campaign. Once you’ve texted us, we’ll reply with the following confirmation:
“By texting TUFCRATE, you agree to receive text messages from TUFCRATE. Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply. Reply with STOP to cancel. Reply with HELP for help. For support, email office@tufcrate.com. Privacy Policy: https://tufcrate.com/privacy-policy/. ”
What we use text messaging for. We use SMS only for two-way customer support conversations — for example: responding to requests for price quotes; providing delivery and order status updates (ETAs, confirmations); answering questions about product availability/stock; and general help responses to your inquiries.
We do not use SMS for outbound marketing or promotional messages. We will not text you unless you’ve texted us first, and we will not add your number to a marketing list.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can purchase from us without signing up for text messages — phone, email (office@tufcrate.com or orders@tufcrate.com), and in-person channels remain available.
- Message frequency varies based on your inquiries and orders with us.
- Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier plan.
- To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any text from us. You’ll receive one final confirmation text, and we will not send further messages.
- For help, reply HELP, or contact us at 480-813-2730 or office@tufcrate.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all mobile devices or carriers may be supported.
- We will not share or sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent data to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is shared only with our SMS platform provider (Zoom) as necessary to deliver the messages you’ve requested, and with mobile carriers as required to transmit text messages.
- We do not share or sell consumer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons or local storage) to keep the Site functioning properly and securely (e.g., session/login timeout after inactivity), remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it (analytics).
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work correctly. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because no common industry standard for responding to them has been adopted.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and tax obligations (generally consistent with standard business recordkeeping periods), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to the rights described below.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information — including restricting employee access on a need-to-know basis and using encryption for sensitive data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may contact us at office@tufcrate.com to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information (subject to our right to retain records required by law, such as financial and tax records)
- Opt out of marketing emails or texts (unsubscribe link in emails; reply STOP to texts)
- Ask questions about how your information is used or shared
We will not discriminate against you (e.g., by denying service or changing pricing) for exercising these choices.
Children’s Privacy
The Site and our Services are directed to businesses and individuals 18 years of age or older, and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at office@tufcrate.com and we will delete it.
Compliance With Laws
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information. We will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Customers.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes to how we use previously collected information, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected Visitors or Customers.
